  Q: What is the I.S.I ONLINE AUCTION™?
  A:
This is a unique online auction available to I.S.I's trade customers. I.S.I consolidates data received from a large number of auction houses around Japan under one format and present them to our trade customers. Our trade customers are able to browse the daily lists, and place bids on desired units.

  Q: What does FOB mean?
  A: FOB is a shipping term meaning Free On Board. This means that an FOB quoted price includes the purchase of the vehicle, I.S.I Co., LTD commission, the transfer from the auction site / stock yard to the docks, loading of the vehicle onto the exporting vessel and the export documentation charge charged by the shipping line in Japan.
From your point of view - no other payments in Japan.
 
  Q: What is the grade system you are using to grade the vehicle?
  A: We use the same system as used by all the leading Auction houses in Japan. All vehicles sold in Japan are given a grade. This ranges from 5.0 to ***, with 5.0 indicating "as new" and condition *** indicating accident damage vehicle. Check the following table for more details:

  Q: How do you ship the cars to the port of my choice?
  A: Cars are usually shipped by RO-RO (ROLL ON-ROLL OFF) car ferries to most destinations. At certain destinations RO-RO vessels are not available. In such a case, we will load your cars into a container.

 
  Q: What is the cost to deliver my selected vehicle to the port near me?
  A: Freight cost depends on the size of the vehicle. Shipping companies charge by cubic meters (M^3).
To calculate the freight cost, multiply the vehicle's cubic size by the freight charge to the destination you require. Here are estimated cubic sizes for various vehicle types.

  Q: Can I import a Japanese domestic model to my country?
  A: Generally speaking, yes, but it depends on the regulation and the law of your country. Please email us for more details.

 
  Q: I wish to import a commercial quantity of motorcycles for retail / trade purposes. How do I proceed?
  A: Please email us with the following details:
1 Your full name and or business name, address, phone and fax number.
Please also state the name of the seaport that serves your area.
2 Models you require. Please state stock numbers from our web site, or model names if you wish.
3 Please state the condition / quality you require
 
  Q: Do you supply parts for motorcycles?
  A: Yes we do. Please check our parts sections, in case you can't find what you are after, please email us with your full details, part description and your bike chassis number.
 
  Q: What grade system are you using for motorcycles?
  A: We follow a similar system as used by the largest Japanese motorcycle auctions. A number is assigned to indicate the grade as follows:

AUCTION GRADE
MEANING
Grade 0~1
Damaged, various degrees. Can be used for parts or repaired if viable.
Grade 2
Poor overall. Might need repair to main components at high cost, can be used for parts.
Grade 3
Under average as relates to the age and model year.Condition can be improved to a higher grade with a mild investment.
Grade 4
Good overall condition, sometimes with minor marks that do not require major repairs.
Grade 5 and up:
Excellent condition, close to new or new.

The letters used (A, T, N, etc) with the grade number indicate internal sub grades.
 
  Q: Can you supply damaged or accident bikes?
  A: Yes we can supply a wide range of damage bikes, either for repair or for breaking. Such bikes are only supplied in volumes, to bone fide bike breakers or traders. A limited access area showing a vast range of such bikes is available on our web site.

  Q: What is a "Bulk Order"?
  A: Bulk order means container loads, also known as FCL.
Prices showing apply to such volume orders.

We also supply single motorcycles crated in specially built wooden crates to certain markets, however an additional crating fee will apply.

  A: We presently offer a choice of 3 freight services, which have a different combination of shipping rates, weight and volume of cargo and delivery speed.

2 UPS
3 Sea freight - For the cheapest yet slowest shipping option. Contact us for details related for sea fright.
